About Me

I’m Lindsey Vandeventer, LCSW, an Interagency Supervisor, psychotherapist, and lifelong learner with more than 20 years of experience across clinical and community-based social work settings. I’m a University of Oklahoma graduate and Ronald E. McNair Scholar, and I bring both professional and lived experience to my work with adults, families, and fellow clinicians.

My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, liberation-oriented, and grounded in lived experience. I work with adults and families navigating complex trauma and neurodivergence, including Autism, ADHD, CPTSD, dissociative identities, and personality neurotypes that are often described within traditional diagnostic frameworks as personality disorders.

I approach therapy from the belief that many experiences labeled as symptoms are actually understandable survival responses to overwhelming experiences, unmet needs, attachment wounds, and intersecting forms of oppression. I don’t view people as broken or disordered. Instead, I seek to understand the meaning and function behind their experiences while supporting greater safety, choice, regulation, and connection.

My clinical approach integrates EMDR, psychodynamic, Jungian, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, along with polyvagal-informed nervous system regulation and somatic and sensory-based strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to build self-understanding, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with the strengths and resilience that are already within them.
